D1: Chennai / Tiruvanamalai
Transfer to Tiruvanamalai. Sightseeing to the Sri Ramana Maharshi ashram. He is one of the greatest spiritual masters of this last century (1879-1950). After many years of a rigorously ascetic life, he reached the absolute truth (consciousness).
Climbing the Arunachala hill, which is “the sacred mountain”. Sightseeing of the caves where Sri Ramana Maharshi had stayed for many years in meditation. Sightseeing of the Arunachala temple, with a 60m gopuram at its south entrance (built in the 16th century). It is dedicated to Lord Siva and attracts thousands of devotees every year.
D3: Tiruvanamalai / Tanjore
6-7 hour transfer.
Road to Gangakondacholapuram, where the Cholas king had built a wonderful temple to honor one of the victories on the bank of the River Ganga. Then road to Tanjore, on the edge of the Cauvery River.
Tanjore, situated on the Cauvery Delta, was the capital of the Cholas, the most prominent kingdom of South India. Visit to Brihadishwara temple where you will be able to experience the religious fervour of the Hindus, their capacity of union with the atman, the universal heart.
The temple contains many rooms and sanctuaries with pillars and 250 lingams.
D5: Tanjore / Madurai
Departure for Trichy, visit the amazing Srirangam temple, built on an island in the middle of the Cauvery River. We proceed to Madurai , visit to the Meenakshi temple, a true Holy City inside the city.
D6: Madurai / Cochin
Discover the town of Madurai, undoubtedly the most vibrant in South India. Departure in mid-afternoon for Cochin.
Visit the city which spreads out over a group of islands. Cochin is the main port from which foreign ships loaded with spices leave. The gracious Chinese fishing boats are displayed at the edge of the water. Stroll in the old city built by the Portuguese nearly 500 years ago.
Visit the Dutch palace, the Jewish quarter, the St. Francis church. Free afternoon to discover the antique dealers and the wholesale spice district. Kathakali performance in the evening. Hotel.
D8: Cochin / Guruvayur
Road to Guruvayur. En route visit the important Hindu pilgrimage center: the Krishna Swamy temple built in the 16th century.
Tradition has it that the temple was created by Guru, the preceptor of the Devas, and Vayu, the lord of the Winds.
The temple is dedicated to Krishna, known here as Guruvayurappan or the Lord of Guruvayur.
Visit Punnathur Kotta: elephant centre with approximately 40 elephants.
D9: Guruvayur to Day 15: Ayurvedic center
Raja Islands consists of three Islands on the backwaters of Kerala. For your stay, the center offers different types of accommodation, a treatment room, kitchen, living room, veranda, and swimming pool etc., spread out in various locations of its 150-acre plot.
The center also has facilities like a multi-cuisine restaurant, serving the food of your choice, or diet food advised by your doctor, a gymnasium, herbal steam-bath, medicated pond, mineral bath, small library, herbal garden, and indoor and outdoor games.
It’s a nice quiet place, with a view of fishing men on their boats. The pleasant and calm atmosphere, with the water and excellent natural beauty surrounding the Islands, relaxes us physically and mentally, thus helping us to respond well to Ayurvedic treatment.
In the evenings, you can take out a small boat to the mangroves and until the small villages. You will to discover the fauna and flora and change the rhythm of your life and meet different people.

D16: Cochin / Varkala
Transfer to Varkala. The coast, bordered by splendid cliffs, is lined with beaches where you will be able to swim or visit the fishing villages.
Free day on the beach at Varkala.
D18 : Trivandrum
Transfer in the morning to Trivandrum for the return flights.
